By the time we arrived the weather had cleared for a beautiful day and Marlon got very excited about getting back on land. We ended up mooring at the 79th Street Boat Basin, just about smack in the middle of the highest of the world&#8217;s high rent districts. The Boat Basin is a city amenity managed by the parks department. It has showers, laundry and wifi. It&#8217;s also close to the subway and Central Park. The only thing the Boat Basin needs, besides a facelift, is dredging and bigger mooring anchors.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"embed-youtube\" style=\"text-align:center; display: block;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" class=\"youtube-player\" width=\"604\" height=\"340\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/BHLE6NJs9ek?version=3&#038;rel=1&#038;showsearch=0&#038;showinfo=1&#038;iv_load_policy=1&#038;fs=1&#038;hl=en-US&#038;autohide=2&#038;wmode=transparent\" allowfullscreen=\"true\" style=\"border:0;\" sandbox=\"allow-scripts allow-same-origin allow-popups allow-presentation allow-popups-to-escape-sandbox\"><\/iframe><\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We sailed up the Hudson after a rainy and windy transit off the Jersey shore.
