Here’s a short collection of photos from our grand tour of North Wales that start in Llandudno, a holiday town at the far west end of Colwyn Bay. Llandudno has a pier that extends well out over the bay with lots of fun things to do. We were there early in the morning, before things really got going, but we did get our fortune told by Zoltar. Zoltar sounds a lot like Boris Spinovsky.
Next we went on to Conway and walked the battlements of its famous castle. This was the last day of our CADW explorer pass, so we walked up the street to Plas Mawr, a wonderfully preserved Elizabethan Great Hall. For some reason the light went all Vermeer for only as long as we were in the building.
Outside the weather turned against us and we sat out the rain with tea, scones, and farmer’s salad at the Love to Eat tea shop. Our repast was as delicious as it was filling.
