Today marks our third Christmas on Aleta. In 2017 we awoke in Swansboro, Carolina del Norte (as we say here), anchored in a river on the Intra-Coastal Waterway. Later in the day we caught up with the unforgettably named gin palace, Buttery Nipple. Our second Christmas was at anchor in the British Virgin Islands. This year we’re in Cartagena, Spain. My how the time flies!

The good folks of Cartagena know how to celebrate the holidays. The town is lit up with decorations, people are singing songs, and bands are rocking the town plazas. Families, kids and dogs throng the streets. It helps that it’s almost 70F (20C), too. It’s not quite Australian beach weather, but it’s close.

Happy holidays to you and yours! It will soon be 2020!

Love,

Carol & Mike & Marlon
