We sailed up the Hudson after a rainy and windy transit off the Jersey shore. By the time we arrived the weather had cleared for a beautiful day and Marlon got very excited about getting back on land. We ended up mooring at the 79th Street Boat Basin, just about smack in the middle of the highest of the world’s high rent districts. The Boat Basin is a city amenity managed by the parks department. It has showers, laundry and wifi. It’s also close to the subway and Central Park. The only thing the Boat Basin needs, besides a facelift, is dredging and bigger mooring anchors.

    1. Kathryn runs a doggie walking business and so is completely charmed by anything canine. A deluxe cruise up and down the Hudson fits the bill. We have friends in the opposite end of the HighLife near your mooring. If you’re going to be tied up for a little while more, I can connect you. –bc

      1. They love dogs in NYC! So much we brought into the Apple store and Trader Joe’s. Sadly just left and went up river to Riker’s Island and into the places here the rich hang out for the summer. Armchair mansion viewing!
